My Mind Is Playing Tricks On Me (1) [MMIPTM]

At night i can't sleep: 

i toss & turn.

my vision is blurred 

it's like i lost my nerve

four walls staring at me - ENCLOSING- 

im paranoid - just HOPING- i live to see another 24.

My mother always stressin'- says make sure i'm living right. 

But she ain't raise a punk and i ain't going out without a fight.

See everytime my eyes go to close

i start sweating and blood comes out my nose.

is somebody watching through the window? that's what it feels like.

I can see it even when im under covers, DAMN, i aint even kiss my mother.

This could be the last night she sees me.

cause this Friday - getting creepy.

then i wake up and i dont even see it. 

but it left some clues; it has the same SHOES like me, 

has the same SUIT - like my own. 

my brother woke me up and said i was dreaming all alone.

im flinching and shit - every time the wind blows. 

every 5 seconds peeping out my window, 

Investigating my surroundings for traps and taps.

Going through my mind for some raps.

im scoping out the people as they leave my newspaper on the corner. 

i can't believe it. MY MIND IS PLAYING TRICKS ON ME... 

Im in a race with myself.

to get to the top.

up late one night; thought i heard a pop. 

i walked outside - it was a shot,

seen this little ass nigga walking round' with a mop.

and i know he wasn't cleaning the block. 

thought he had 'caine but it was a glock in his sock.

i tried to turn around, back into the door, by the time i did that - 

i was laying on the floor. 

Ain't no use to me lying i was scared as f**k.

wishing if this was really going on God'll gimmie some luck. (spare me)

He reached in his left pocket & pulled out quick - it was an extended clip.
