Look what you've done....

Its 06' in your bedroom and im in love with you
And i still love you but it fell through cause you wasn't you
And my heart hurt, and my headache, so im smoking heavy.
And you calling me, and you lecture me because smokings deadly.
So i ash it, and we argue about how i've changed
you tell me i'm like my father -the one phrase that drives me insane-
Now it's "Fuck you, i hate you, i'm leaving you, we're done"
And i leave out, you text me, you tell me that i'm the one.
You love me, I love you, your heart hurts, mine hurts too.
And its just words; but they cut deep.
Those tears fall down your face.
I see the Advil on your bathroom floor, You tell me- your done
i ask you are you sure. You'd be leaving me, your parents, and your girls.
Maybe we should go for a walk
That'd give us sometime to talk.
----
Then my dad calls me on my phone
conversation wasn't too long
Get me a flight to to North Carolina in the morning, Oh yeah! i'm grown now- im gone!
i get there
he's happy
my brother's there- he tells me he raps now-
I listen to his latest take
That shit was great
i hope he continues it.
I love my family
Man, with out ya'll what would i do?
--
I'm back in- Delaware
it's home- sweet- home
i popped in that Drake tape. that "Young Sweet Jones"
My mom is here, got a new car
i knew this job would get her this far
i had know doubt in my mind
it all worked man i shoulda known
cause she deserve it!

It's 04, that's 5th grade, im in love with Sarah.
And i'm still in love cause when its that real it doesn't fade.
And my father living in North Carolina now, he don't come this way,
cause his stupid job & changed up and  moved that way. Damn! Boo Hoo - sad story -
Black American Dad story.
I know that we actually just met 2 years ago.
but that really can't explain the love that you always show.
aha. i remember- going to all of the school dance.
Damn! a nigga felt like the man. and all them memories never go away.
Shit made the world i knew bigger, changed the way that i viewed it.
All of the fighting at the crib, you would calm me down when i lose it.
Told you i'm done playing ball. i'm more in touch with poems & music.
you said- either way i'd be a star, i can go so far, talks from me to you, you to me,
taught a lot.
----
you tossed the keys & loaned me the car.
Just a young boy in our Ford Explorer.
going to this chick i met house- hoping- i'd explore her.
Just another kid going through life
So worried that i won't be accepted, but i can do anything-
You said that, you meant that. You took me places,
used your last check,
they said "No"- we went back
Checks void, that i've cashed
promise i'll put all that money back.
And i thank you, i don't know where i'd really be without that.
You deserve it...
